Extracurricular Activities

JROTC features a lot of activities outside of the classroom. Whenever you think JROTC, you think of the young men and women either on the Drill Team, Color Guard, or Raiders. These Teams promote friendly competition, friendship, and Esprit De Corps.

Raider Team

If you acheive a perfect score on the Cadet Challenge Test, then the Raider Team may be a fit for you. Representing the most physically fit Cadets in the entire Battalion, these "Hard Chargers" compete against other High Schools in the Area, State and National Championships. During the 2014-2015 school year, the Female Raider team won the Area 11 Championshipi and placed 3rd in the State of Georgia.

Marksmanship Team
Drill Team

The Drill Team is one of several teams that a Cadet can participate in as a part of the JROTC program. The team practices throughout the week during Drill Season.

The main activities are performing at Drill Meets in competition with other JROTC Programs from other schools. We also march in parades, such as the Homecoming Parade, and ML King Day Parade. We are also asked to perform at some school functions such as the Snellville Middle sports activities, PTA and other civic functions.

Color Guard

The Color Guards's main purpose is to present the colors of the country, state and the battalion at schools and community events. The Color Guards are usually the top cadets in Drill, and represent our School and Battalion in many events throughout the year such as Football Games and Parades. The Color Guard is an extention of the Drill Team, however, they operate year round.

Are you a  "good shot"? Then the Marksmanship Team is just the place for you. Traveling across our Area, the Marksmanship Team goes head to head against other High Schools, as they compete for trophies, awards and scholarships.
