LTC (Ret) Nathaniel Flegler
Lieutenant Colonel Nate Flegler retired from the US Army after serving over 21 years of active federal service as a Military Police Officer. He has many years of experience in management and leadership. He taught Senior ROTC at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri for three years, commanded two Army units at the company level and managed organizations consisting of hundreds of employees.
Lieutenant Colonel Flegler holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from South Carolina State University; a master’s degree in Criminal Justice/Sociology from Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri; and a master’s degree in Military and Strategic Studies from Air University at Maxwell Air Force Base.
1SG (Ret) Phillip Gaines
First Sergeant Phillip Gaines retired from the United States Army after serving over 20 years of Active Federal Service as an Infantryman. He has many years of experience in management, mentorship and leadership. He taught Senior ROTC at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida. He has also worked at Riverside Military Academy Gainesville, Georgia as a Teacher Adviser Counselor (TAC) and Army JROTC Instructor from 2004 – 2018.
First Sergeant Gaines holds a bachelor’s degree in General Studies from Fort Hays State University, Hays, KS.

SFC (Ret) Lakentra Smith
Sergeant First Class LaKentra N. Smith retired from the United States Army after serving over 20 years of Active Federal Service as a Human Resources Specialist. She has many years of experience in management, mentorship and leadership. She has worked with the Senior ROTC at Campbell University and Fayetteville State University both in North Carolina. She has also worked at the 1st Region Headquarters at Fort Bragg, North Carolina serving future Army officers.
Sergeant First Class Smith holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Campbell University, Buies Creek, NC.
